The 2nd Thursday of each month we offer a Meditation and Mindfulness Practice Group. This group is offered on a drop in basis, a donation is requested to help with costs.
Group meets from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, all levels of experience welcome.
Individual and Group Counseling: Available evenings and weekends by appointment.
Summer Mindfulness Programs 2012
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) begins June12, 2012 6-8 PM. This class is open to everyone.
Programs run for 8 weeks and include eight 2 hour weekly sessions and one 6 hour session scheduled on a weekend. Cost is $300.00 and includes all materials (audio and handouts).Class size is limited. Scholarships are available.
NEW! Mindfulness and Health Series
A series of3 workshops beginning on Wednesday April 4th. Cost $30.00 per class Class size is limited; please call to reserve a space. Sessions are from 6:30-8 PM. Classes will be taught by Lenore Flynn, RN, MA
April 4th Meditation and Health: the Latest Research
We will explore the most recent clinical research related to how meditation can improve your health and outcomes for many chronic conditions.
April 18th The Neuroscience of Mindfulness
How can mindfulness and meditation change the brain? We will discuss the latest MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) studies and what they tell us about how the brain can change. We will discuss the concept of neuroplasticity and how it brings hope for the improvement of many conditions.
May 2nd Mindfulness for Beginners
If you attended one or both of the other sessions we know you will want to begin learning how to practice mindfulness and basic meditation. In this class we will explore basic mindfulness practice and several simple forms of meditation anyone can practice. (attendance at the other workshops is not required)
